Boris Johnson is too weak to resign. Theresa May is too weak to sack him. And Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell need to answer his extra £100 million per week for the NHS with the extra £350 million that he originally promised, to appear on the face of primary legislation.
If Johnson really is planning a Heseltine-style walkout, then he will rapidly find that his following does not exist. Even the people who used to be amused by him have mostly stopped being so. There is a reason why he never made it onto the ballot for Party Leader. He alone has ever believed that he might become Prime Minister.
