Justify

Some thick schoolgirl in London or Syria did not bomb the Manchester Arena. How about a Coroner’s Inquest into that attack? That Inquest would need to hear all the evidence.

In opposition to the Gaddafi regime to which we were nevertheless deporting people to be tortured weeks before we invaded Libya, and in the service of this county’s poisonous relationship with Saudi Arabia, the Home Office, MI5 and MI6 made Manchester the global centre of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group. A public inquiry will not do. There must be a Coroner’s Inquest.

There should be a Coroner’s Inquest into the death of Dr David Kelly, a Coroner’s Inquest into the Manchester Arena attack, a Coroner’s Inquest into the death of Dawn Sturgess, an action to challenge the legality of the bombing of Syria after the confirmation by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons that no nerve agent had been used at Douma, an action before the International Criminal Court against those who had brought slavery back to Libya, and an action before the High Court of Justiciary of Scotland inviting it to exercise its declaratory power against those who had waged war on Iraq in 2003.

Arising out of my unsuccessful parliamentary candidacy in 2019, a Chambers and Partners Band 1 legal practice is already on standby. And then there is the matter of due process, or the lack of it, for Julian Assange. Yes, I am already standing for Parliament again.

  1. Why is no MP saying this about Manchester and Libya?

  2. Galloway would be the obvious man to make these points in Parliament but he'll be 70 in 2024. This is your time.
