Whatever else Lord Sumption may be, he has very little political or media experience, so he has airily let the eugenic cat out of the bag. Johnson was directly employed by that sort until the day that he became Prime Minister. He will be so again, from the day that he had ceased to be Prime Minister. Hence the premature lifting of the first lockdown. It all stems from that. When we have arrived at 100,000 deaths, well within a week from now, then it will be because of that.
