If Alex Salmond fell under a bus, then what would become of the SNP? Mike Russell has a fine intellect, but that is not necessarily the same thing as being an effective politician. John Swinney has been tried, and turned out not to be that good after all. Whom does that leave? Nicola Sturgeon? Come on.
