All that the latest polling of the Red Wall seats shows is that we think even less of Boris Johnson than we do of Keir Starmer.
We have noticed the Labour abstention on the iniquitous tiers. On Brexit, we are waiting for Ab Starmer to show himself once again the Leader of the No Position. Or even worse, to vote to keep us subject to the State Aid rules, making our regeneration impossible. Our favourite politician remains Rishi Sunak. For now.
By the way, I have not "gone off" Richard Holden. I like him. I admire a great deal that he has already done, such as on gambling, on transport links, and now on seeking to find a renewed role for the coal industry. But we are political opponents.
