A Direct Threat To The Union

There is a corner of North East Wales where they speak not only English, but also Welsh, with Scouse accents. 

They cannot always have done so. But they do now. That bespeaks the level of economic, social and cultural integration. 

Yet Boris Johnson has made it necessary for the Welsh Government to ban travel between that area, or indeed any part of Wales, and the adjacent part of England, among many other places. 

Watch out for Northern Ireland, which is now pretty comprehensively locked down again. Then watch out for Scotland, not least, but not exclusively, because Nicola Sturgeon needs a distraction.

This Government's refusal to take the necessary measures has become a direct threat to the Union.
