For this parliamentary seat of North West Durham, nobody who has nominated Laura Pidcock has ever been elected to anything, while Councillor Watts Stelling has not been nominated by any other member of Durham County Council.
I therefore invite the Labour members of Durham County Council for wards in this constituency to contact me on davidaslindsay@hotmail.com, to say whether or not they intended to vote for Ms Pidcock: Councillors Jane Brown, Joanne Carr, Malcolm Clarke, Jude Considine, Olwyn Gunn, Ivan Jewell, Ossie Johnson, and Fraser Tinsley.
And I invite the other Independent members of Durham County Council for wards in this constituency to contact me by the same means, to say whether or not they intended to vote for Councillor Stelling: Councillors Patricia Jopling, Peter Oliver, Stephen Robinson, Anita Savory, John Shuttleworth, and Alan Shield. Councillor Alex Watson has already indicated his intention to vote for me.
Immediately after 3pm on Friday 22nd November, I shall post here the complete lists of those Labour Councillors who had indicated their intention to vote for Ms Pidcock, of those who had not, of those Independent Councillors who had indicated their intention to vote for Councillor Stelling, and of those who had not.
