With supposedly less than a month to go, I am thinking of listing on the Internet the dozens of character witnesses all of whom the dear old Crown Prosecution Service insisted be ruled out because the testimony of any one of them would have guaranteed my acquittal.
Past and present members of both Houses of Parliament, local councillors including several alleged victims in this case, senior members of the Catholic and Anglican clergy, distinguished academics, leading journalists, Justices of the Peace, a Presiding Justice in Court, and so on.
Should I? Would you like to know why the CPS now knows quite what it is trying to take on?
