Longstanding readers will know that I carry no candle for the BJP.
That fact has not stopped me from enjoying the spectacle of Nehru-Gandhi types bewailing that a "peaceful, tolerant, inclusive" India has given way to a "violent, sectarian, partisan" India.
They need to get out more. A lot more.
I did not and do not support the hunting ban, either. But those complaining of "unprecedented" rough policing of the Countryside March needed to have a word with the miners, among other people.
And those having hysterics today need to ask rather a lot of categories of their own compatriots how peaceful, tolerant or inclusive they have ever found the India that was founded in 1947.
Or how violent, sectarian or partisan they have ever not found that India.
