Of Greece and Graduates
Greece is a portent of the future: a continent with huge numbers of disaffected graduates and undergraduates, the victims of a mentality in which no one is anyone without a degree, academic work nevertheless has no value in itself, and there are far too many universities, with far too many students, for higher education to be delivered at the public expense that confers public responsibilities on graduates as such.
