It should be like Universal Credit, MPs should lose 63p from their salaries for every pound that they made from anything else. Even from next month, they would still lose 55p per pound. There would be none this malarkey then.

But refusal to serve is always a bad tactic. If you are not at the table, then you are on the menu. The Government could just name three Labour MPs and a Scottish Nationalist, and tell them that it would be their own fault if they did not turn up. It would be right.
