The Uyghurs have been fighting as part of the Taliban for years. As have assorted Central Asian enemies of Vladimir Putin and his little helpers. And as have the likes of Jundallah.
The regimes in China, Russia, the Central Asian states and Iran are ghastly, but that does not make their opponents the good guys. More often than not, there are no good guys.
As the people who are paid a fortune to know are about to join the rest of us in realising. Or are they? They never have before.
