Unity Is Strength
Tomorrow and on Friday, DWP staff will strike against their zero pay increase, i.e., their real terms pay cut. I sincerely hope that the review of party funding does make the union political levy an opt-in rather than an opt-out, and does make it payable to the party of the individual worker's choice. Workers, through their unions, shouldn't (and, in those circumstances, wouldn't) give New Labour a penny. And now, they don't have to.
