Advance Payments

The split between Donald Trump and Elon Musk now extends to these shores as the split between Nigel Farage and Rupert Lowe, between Reform UK and the Advance UK to which Lowe's accession would spark a Leadership fight to the death with Ben Habib. Will that death be of Lowe's career, or of Habib's, or of Advance, or of all three?

Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana will launch their party with more MPs than Reform UK and Lowe put together, and with one and half times as many as Reform still had. The Greens have as many MPs as Reform. The Liberal Democrats have 18 times as many.

And none of them, nor the SDP, nor the Workers Party, is a branch office, either of the Head of a foreign State, or of a man with one non-British passport for each of his three sets of $143 billion. Think on.

  1. Bang on, there are real alternatives available, the SDP and the Workers Party.

    1. We who recognise that our objectives are incompatible with anti-industrial Malthusianism, with the denial of material reality, and with the enforcement of global capitalism by undemocratic institutions, should continue to take every opportunity to vote for the Workers Party of Britain and for the Social Democratic Party, in that order. Those parties should continue to provide us with those opportunities, and the SDP should review its support for those who had killed British military veterans who were unarmed aid workers in Gaza, bombing them three times to make sure that they were dead. Otherwise, we may indeed need to vote instead for Your Party in the absence of the Workers Party, although never otherwise.

  2. Shouldn't they resign their seats when they set up a new party, seek reelection under its colours?

    1. Should Graham Simpson? He was elected on a party list, against a Reform UK one.

Of the six MPs who are on course to join the new party, only Zarah Sultana was elected as Labour, or indeed as any party. At least, the other five would easily keep their seats. And will do so. In 2029. When Jeremy Corbyn will become the Father of the House.

  3. On the likely programme of Your Party five MPs were elected last year, one more than Reform got.

    1. And put together, locally rival pro-Gaza candidates outpolled Labour in several more seats. That mistake will not be made again. Whereas Reform, and the people who think that it has sold out or that it never bought in, are still at that earlier stage.
