Mandate This

Might some way be found for UNIFIL to recruit directly in Britain? After all, the IDF does, and joining that would be a flagrant breach of the Foreign Enlistment Act no matter what.

Having declared the United Nations Secretary-General persona non grata, and now having fired on and injured Blue Helmets, Israel should be expelled from the UN. Since the General Assembly can do that only on the recommendation of the Security Council, then let the United States, the United Kingdom and probably also France be seen by the whole world to veto the attempt to do it.

Where all three were concerned, since the Israelis have repeatedly attacked Italian bases, then so much for NATO. And where Britain was concerned, since the Israelis have injured Sri Lankans, then so much for the Commonwealth.

  1. Expelling Israel, a liberal democracy, from the club of dictators known as the UN would be hilarious and preposterous-especially considering the far worse regimes that remain members. China, for example, is a member of the UN and UN Security Council-despite carrying out the worst ethnocide since World War Two against the Uighur Muslims (1 in 12 of whom are now in Chinese concentration camps) and maintaining the only remaining gulag since the Soviet Union, known as the laogai.

In banning Israel, the UN would only succeed in looking even more ridiculous than it already does.

    1. China has not banned the UN Secretary-General from its soil. Nor has it fired on, and injured, UN peacekeepers.

  2. Isn't there still an outstanding Israeli death sentence on you or something?

    1. Well, Google no longer thinks that I live in Pelton, so I am not sure how active that is. If you know, you know.
