Reasonable and Legitimate Force

The hostages must be released, there must be an immediate Israeli ceasefire, the arrest warrants against both Israeli and Hamas figures must be given effect, Britain must stop arming Israel as it should stop arming Hamas if it were doing so, and Britain must recognise Palestine as it should recognise Israel if it did not already. There is no contradiction in holding all of those positions. Quite the reverse.

Likewise, anyone who broke a Police Officer's nose, or anyone else's, should be pursued to the full extent of the law, as should anyone who kicked someone in the face and stamped on him, including a Police Officer who had restrained him. There is no contradiction in holding both of those positions. Quite the reverse.

It is high time to give some very serious scrutiny to the authorised version of Lee Anderson's backstory. He is just about old enough to have been the striking miner that, pointedly without ever quite saying it, he cultivates the impression of having been. But none of those, not one of them, takes his view of Police brutality. They just don't.

As for Stephen Yaxley-Lennon ("Tommy Robinson"), he and his boozed up, coked up mob rioted against the Police at the Cenotaph on Armistice Day, injuring at least nine Officers, at least two of whom were hospitalised with a fractured elbow and a suspected dislocated hip, and being found in possession of weapons including a knife, a baton and a knuckleduster, along with Class A drugs.
