Insufficient Evidence?

Considering the personal attention that Keir Starmer paid to the case of Julian Assange, then it is laughable to suggest that he paid little or none to the case of Jimmy Savile.

But what if he did? His time as Director of Public Prosecutions is held up as his qualifying experience to be Prime Minister. Yet he would have us believe that he did nothing much more than attend ceremonies to pick up awards on behalf of the Crown Prosecution Service.

Which is it? Was that all he did, in which case he was awfully well-paid out of the public purse? Or did he personally take the decision not to prosecute one of the most famous and the best-connected people in the country? It must be one or the other.

  1. The Tories and the Left should both go as hard as hell on this.

    1. But neither of them is doing so. It is very disappointing.
