No Immunity

The British media are praising to the skies the Israeli approach to vaccination. What, not vaccinating one fifth of the population? If not more, since has anyone checked on the vaccination of the Mizrahim and of the Ethiopian Jews? With the Arabs, those comprise about 70 per cent of the people in Israel.

And then there are the workers who come in from the West Bank. The only way of explaining the refusal to vaccinate them is the belief, either that all of those Palestinian labourers cannot contract Covid-19, or that they cannot pass it on to Israelis, or at least to Jewish Israelis. In other words, that they are a different species, so that, just as one would not vaccinate a donkey against Covid-19, so one would not vaccinate these other beasts of burden, either.

The belief that Gentiles, all of us, were created as beasts of burden is openly widespread in and around Israel's ruling bloc. This is what that looks like in practice. And a vote for any British party is now a vote for this. But I am the Independent parliamentary candidate for North West Durham. What are you doing?
