Time was when “Put A Woman On The Moon”, like establishing a permanent base there, was the stuff of cranks. As was maglev. But we Radio Four listeners heard the Today programme report that Britain had signed up to the Artemis project. Then we heard You and Yours report on the Mumbai-Pune hyperloop.
Now to put every part of this country on the Belt and Road, and encourage the building of one or more Bering Strait crossings, as part of a wider and deeper realignment with the BRICS and other emerging economies on the understanding that “development is the new word for peace”. And now to extend the principles of the Antarctic Treaty to Outer Space. Among so very many other things.
In each constituency in 2024, there should be one candidate, of any party or none, who subscribed to this and this. The complete list of those candidates would appear here, and anywhere else that would publish it. If I could raise enough money to be a viable candidate, then I would contest the seat where the most people had offered to sign my nomination papers. Please give generously.
