I have COVID-19, but I am not making that public, for fear of a hospital visit from Boris Johnson and a benefit concert by Bono. I am already suffering enough.
The Romans spread the Plague. The Spanish spread smallpox. The British spread cholera. Whatever else empires may do, they also spread disease.
Welcome to the Chinese Empire. And get used to it, because it is still going to be the world long after we are all dead. Whether of coronavirus or of anything else.
