Of Wars Fought, And Not

It is simply a fact that there would have been no Islamic State without the Iraq War for which Boris Johnson voted, but which Jeremy Corbyn voted against. That said, Usman Khan was on cannabis. Bet your house on it. Peter Hitchens's The War We Never Fought ought to be taught in schools.

We need a single category of illegal drug, with a crackdown on the possession of drugs, including a mandatory sentence of three months for a second offence, six months for a third offence, one year for a fourth offence, and so on.

Most certainly, that must include cannabis, which is linked to violent psychosis, and any medicinal properties of which are no more applied by smoking a spliff than those of opium would be by injecting heroin, or than those of aspirin would be by ingesting bark.

Radical change would be impossible if the workers, the youth and the poor were in a state of stupefaction, and that baleful situation, which has been contrived in the past, is being contrived again today.

I have never taken any illegal drug, and I challenge each and every other candidate for the parliamentary seat of North West Durham, either to say the same thing, or to give a full account of any past transgression, remorsefully acknowledging it as such.

As for radicalisation, IDF rabbis teach that Gentiles are created as beasts of burden, that churches must be burnt down because they are idolatrous (all of them, because Christianity itself is idolatry), and that IDF soldiers may rape Arab women in order to relieve themselves. Does that last apply to all beasts of burden? Is it permissible to relieve oneself in a donkey?

Yet returnees from the IDF are never monitored for signs of radicalisation, and I write as one who has been subject to a death threat from that political tendency for more than two years and counting. Imagine if there were to be such monitoring. Imagine the screeching about "anti-Semitism".

But anyone may convert to Judaism. Jews are no more a "race" than Christian or Muslims are. Indeed, whereas most Jews pass unnoticed in White British society, most Muslims and a growing number of Christians do not. Are Jews stopped and searched by the Police? Are returnees from the IDF monitored in any way at all by the intelligence and security services? Well, there you are, then.

The only anti-Semitic attacks, as such, are against people who are visibly Jewish in ways that the screechers against anti-Semitism hold in contempt, who are not in any way represented by the screechers' "communal bodies" or "communal voices", and who have particularly good relations with Jeremy Corbyn and Diane Abbott.

Most Labour MPs will be as bad on all of this as they have always been. Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. I am standing for Parliament here at North West Durham. The crowdfunding page is here, and buy the book here. Please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.

  1. This hilarious drivel sounds like the kind of stuff from online nutters that Labour is desperately trying to dissociate itself from. Jews are "not a race"!? You are aware there are Catholic and atheist Jews (many of whom went to the gas chambers along with religious ones), yet there are no Catholic or atheist Muslims, right? Are you bonkers?

Jews are of course a race you silly twit-that's why an ethnic Jew can move to Israel even if he or she is not a practising one. The Nazi Holocaust was a racist not religious policy.

The quotes Andrew Neil read out to Corbyn from current as well as suspended Labour candidates (many of them Muslim) make the stomach turn. Even more so when Corbyn agreed those quotes were racist and was then forced to explain why some of the people who said them remain candidates...

    1. Jews are not a race. They simply aren't. Anyone may convert to Judaism.
