This is not Jeremy Corbyn's first offence. Before he gave his implacable enemies the head of Chris Williamson, then he had already given them the head of the first MP to have nominated him for Leader, Kelvin Hopkins.
Therefore, along with the low-hanging fruit of depriving the Independent Group of their seats, along with electing Marc Wadsworth against either Margaret Hodge or Ruth Smeeth as he chooses, along with electing George Galloway in place of Jess Phillips at Birmingham Yardley, and along with re-electing Chris Williamson at Derby North, the highest priority must be given to re-electing Kelvin Hopkins at Luton North. With or without the Labour Party.
With Gavin Shuker as the MP for Luton South, that town becomes a major battleground. So see you there. Another hung Parliament is coming, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. It has become a local commonplace that I am on 30-30-30 with Labour and the Conservatives here at North West Durham, so that any one of us could be the First Past the Post.
