The long-suspended Ivan Lewis has jumped before he was pushed, and concocted a reason that nobody believes.
Truly scandalous is the treatment of the great man, Kelvin Hopkins, who is a staunch Lexiteer and who was the first MP to nominate Jeremy Corbyn for Leader.
Hopkins would now be in the Shadow Cabinet if it were not for this #MeToo business, of which not one shred of evidence against him has been found.
The restoration of the whip to him is long overdue.
With or without it, his re-election at Luton North must now be considered one of the very highest priorities at the next General Election.
