The Afghan Government's representatives have arrived in Abu Dhabi for face-to-face negotiations with "the Taliban", negotiations in which the Americans are already engaged.
So much for the entire war in Afghanistan, which a few of us were called every name under the sun for opposing from the very start.
Jeremy Corbyn was one such, but the Parliamentary Labour Party is, and will remain, stuffed to the gills with those who refuse point blank to accept the truth of all of this.
Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it.
I will stand for this parliamentary seat of North West Durham, if I can raise the £10,000 necessary to mount a serious campaign.
