Rising In The West

The Midlands are already a key electoral battleground between Labour and the Conservatives.

But across Hampshire and all parts West, the battle between what are now the two Coalition parties has in fact made the difference between a majority Government and a hung Parliament at every General Election for many years now.

However, the Coalition, both in itself and in its wicked works, has changed the weather, and had done so even before the weather itself intervened.

Somerset's nine MPs are currently five Liberal Democrats and four Conservatives. A Coalition clean sweep. Well, look at the good that that is doing the residents.

As surely as in the Midlands, Labour needs to come up with the right candidates, and then bother to campaign for them, in Hampshire, in the West Country, and everywhere else.

One Nation, indeed.
