Political prisoner, activist, journalist, hymn-writer, emerging thinktanker, aspiring novelist, "tribal elder", 2019 parliamentary candidate for North West Durham, Shadow Leader of the Opposition, "Speedboat", "The Cockroach", eagerly awaiting the second (or possibly third) attempt to murder me.
New revelations on the floods today. You just couldn't make it up.
It has now emerged that the Environment Agency ( which refused to dredge for fear of hurting moluscs) spent £30,000 of taxpayers money on Birmingham Gay Pride Parade.
And £638 on Equali- tea mugs.
I'm increasingly starting to think Chris Smith's organisation can't be real.
It seems too much like a cartoon caricature of a Guardian reader with Che Guevara, Greenpeace and Peter Tatchell on the wall.
Nobody except political lobby geeks and opportunist MP's, see floods as a party-political issue.
As if Britain was any less wet or the Environment Agency was any less in thrall to tree-hugging weirdos and EU environmental directives before 2010.
Although, since Viviane Reding this week openly boasted the EU makes 70% of our laws, I can see why Labour has to try and pretend to be of some use, by pretending to oppose the Government on "floods".
it can't oppose Government policy on anything of political importance, since the EU now decides all that.
Which is why we have no argument at all against Scottish independence.
As Peter Hitchens writes today, we can hardly tell Scotland it should remain loyal to our flag when our three pro-EU parliamentary parties are not loyal to it.
Quote of the article "why should Scotland be governed from Belgium via London, instead of via Edinburgh?"

And Labour will reap the electoral benefit.
ReplyDeleteAs someone once said, it's a funny old world.
Not really.

It's laughable.
We'll see how they vote in the places that you flooded, then.
