Für Gott, Fürst und Vaterland
76.1 per cent of voters in Liechtenstein have rejected an attempt to remove the veto power of their Prince, including over any attempt to legalise abortion, which itself they had already rejected in another referendum.
Of course, you will know that Prince Alois is married to the Wittelsbach, and therefore Stuart, heiress, Princess Sophie, making their London-born son, Prince Joseph Wenzel, the first Stuart heir to have been born in these Islands since 1688.
I might be wrong about this, but I can only think of one dynasty that was abolished by vote, and that was the Savoyard dynasty of Italy, which always had a precarious legitimacy in that country, and, dare I say, perhaps deserved their fate.
