With the DUP denouncing the Budget for delivering a tax cut to the megarich and savage cuts in everything else to everyone else, the days of "Orange Tories" are well and truly over.
Might we see every seat-taking MP from Northern Ireland, one of the most statist economic orders on earth, voting against this Finance Bill and its key clauses? That seems far more likely than not.
And everyone, seat-taking or not, knows that the things for which all those present will be voting would be wholly inconceivable in the Irish Republic, which has never had most or all of them, and which is now back in recession anyway.
