And now the Royal Mail is to be permitted to charge whatever it likes for stamps.
This Government has a death wish. It needs to be put out of our misery.
Forget about the party that is being taken over by Neil Hamilton; the fact that it can be says all that needs to be said about it.
Only one party can defeat the present lot.
In 2015, vote for that party, and if possible campaign for it.
Cameron's behaviour is bizarre, and destructive. I stopped voting Tory years ago and I might break the habit of a lifetime and vote Labour in 2015. It would be with gritted teeth because I have no time for most of the people in that party so they (Ed) would have to come up with something very special. Otherwise it will be UKIP again. Yes, I know what you will say, but who else is there? (the LibDems are irrelevant).
ReplyDeleteThe price of stamps will be capped for 7 years I believe moving in line with inflation. I'm surprised at the huge increase in the cost of a stamp. Perhaps this is a fallout from the increased and "free" Email that we all use far more than we probably would have ever used snail mail and have done for the past decade, but for those that do use traditional post extensively this will hit them hard. The card industry will take a hit for sure.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the "repost" of my petrol article by the way.
It's a pleasure.
ReplyDeleteAnd I do not have to tell you that anyone who believes in the seven-year cap will believe anything. It looks reassuringly as if no one does.
Yes, these things are always subject to goalpost shifting, but any cap to prevent the free-for-all on stamp prices is welcome even if it just slows it down.
