In the race for the position of Mayor of London, the lead has been taken by the candidate who tops the poll for the National Executive Committee of the Labour Party and who openly campaigns for anti-Labour candidates of the Far Left.
He is now ahead of the candidate for whom the London Labour Party's paid staff and their courtier media are campaigning, namely the pro-drugs Conservative, an Ottoman aristocrat of very recent extraction who has publicly recited the Shahada in Arabic, who believes that Christianity overthrew a superior civilisation (slavery, pederasty, the games), and who sees the means to putting things right as being a European Union of which the most populous member-state would be Turkey.
Mayor of London? President of the Third World Banana Republic of London, more like it.
Meanwhile, after having ridiculed Ed Miliband for his Conference denunciation of predator capitalism, David Cameron now echoes the sentiment and wants there to be far more co-operatives. Jolly good. Although, of course, there are still those who disagree. I refer, of course, to the tiny Blairite rump within the London Labour "Party" set out above, which monopolises media coverage of Labour affairs, and the standard of which is borne by the execrable Dan Hodges. Read him today, and see if you can work out whether to laugh or to cry.
If I thought that the Co-operative Party, the Fabian Society and the Christian Socialist Movement were actively co-operating with each other and with the unions in order to replace in this Parliament the party of Andy Newman and Dan Hodges, the party of Ken Livingstone and Hilary Perrin, then I might rejoin them. In fact, I would have done it by now. Why aren't they? What are they waiting for?
First John McTernan, then your mate Tim Collard, and now Hodges, for only two months' work you have left one hell of a gap on Telegraph Blogs and there have been several failed attempts to plug it. Collard was by far the best, Hodges as you say is "execrable".
ReplyDeleteMaybe Mabel will have the sense to ask someone off your blog roll next time? Neil Clark, Martin Meenagh, Michael Merrick, Ann Farmer, Liam Carr, Paul Leake, the bloggers under the names of Red Maria, Blue Labour and the Pub Philosopher, any of them would be good.
The transatlantic voices of John C. Medaille, Right Democrat, Economics is for Donkeys and the Post-Right crew. The Antipodean heirs of Bob Santamaria whom Thompson would go out of his way to give a platform if he were really what he claims to be.
But there is only one father, godfather and guiding light of paleo-Labour.
If Thompson were what he claims to be, he would be paying top dollar for your theologically trained application of pro-life and pro-family to justice and peace issues, your anti-Malthusianism, your voice of the heavily Catholic-influenced Northern political culture, your radically orthodox critique of Americanism and Zionism and your close ties to the Christians of the Middle East. But he isn't, so he doesn't.
ReplyDeleteOur movement parallels the return of economic populism in the Republican party, social conservatism in the Democratic party and foreign policy realism/non-interventionism in both parties. You are not only a seasoned, prescient observer of those trends, not least in your Telegraph blog posts. You are also an active participant in them. Far too quietly for silly student hacks to be able to trace. But all the more effectively for that.
ReplyDeleteDamian Thompson is a well-known racist. As soon as he found out your background, he got rid of you. No surprise there.
ReplyDeleteAt the very least, Tom, he let the tag team of spiteful old men below the line who live in the Deep South in order to rape and lynch the niggers do that in union with Mr. Lindsay's bitter university contemporaries like Jon, who was always a bit thick but bought his way in. Is there a difference? I wouldn't be suprised if Jon also now lived in the Deep South in order to rape and lynch the niggers. I'd be suprised if he didn't.
ReplyDelete@16:35, don't forget Paul Priest. Mr L won't.
