Pensions and benefits will not, after all, rise in April in line with the September inflation figure. And the City bonuses at public expense, such as to our dear friend below the line, Tom The Teenage Trot (Retired)? What do you think?
As soon as benefit claimants and people dependent on the state pension get money, they spend it. That is exactly what we need at a time when we are trying to stimulate economic growth.
So pensions and benefits should indeed go up in April in line with the September inflation figure. Or even sooner, if possible. We would all see the benefits.
I suspect that you used to share a house with Tom The Teenage Trot (Retired).
ReplyDeleteI notice that they are still planning to use September's inflation index to set social housing rents though!
ReplyDeleteIs "Tom The Teenage Trot (Retired)" now a banker?
