Swearing Allegiance
Three cheers for Baroness Trumpington, for giving Tom King the traditional British two-fingered salute, not the imported American one-fingered.
Whereas this one, 72 years her junior, might be an enthusiastic Canadian, but he still swears like a Yank instead of one of Her Majesty's Loyal Subjects:
I haven't the faintest idea, if any. There is a long time between now and then, and there are several other projects to complete. But regular readers will of coure be the first to know.
Perhaps, bearing in mind the posting from Thomas Fleming, the Americans cannot cope with more than one digit at a time. Using two digits, and the manual dexterity required, might confuse them. And is it right that a king should be trumped by a baroness? What is the world coming to?
