Another Left-Right Alliance
Charles Moore devotes half of his Spectator column (not yet online) to defending Phil Woolas, and everything that he says is spot on. But he misses one trick: Woolas is one of the dwindling handful of MPs against whom there would have been any such ruling by the Liberal Tories and the 1968 sectarian Leftists who between them have the upper echelons of the judiciary carved up. No wonder that Harriet Harman hates him. And no wonder that Charles Moore does not.
