Preferentially Speaking
The thing about AV is that supporting one candidate does not necessarily mean opposing another one. So Lord Ahmed can support Lutfur Rahman for Mayor of Tower Hamlets and retain the Labour Whip. Ken Livingstone can say nothing more than that supporters of Rahman and those of the Labour candidate should give the other their second preferences, and himself remain the Labour candidate for Mayor of London. Note well for future reference, including round here.
Kevan as MP for Consett? Two words and the second one is off. We'd have had you after Hilary if Lanchester had not screwed up the District nominations in 03. Better late than never, though.
