Tony Blair: Mr Ten Per Cent
NHS Trusts are spending one tenth of their budgets on meeting commitments to the funny money PFI schemes, six times higher than expected. None of this, all dreamt up by the Downing Street Policy Unit when it was headed by David Miliband, was ever about saving the taxpayer money. It was about making certain people rich, and certain other people even richer. If the latter do not include Tony Blair, then I do not know what the world is coming to, and nor does he.
Will anything get the public's anger up? If private capital enriching itself on the taxpayer funded NHS doesn't then we might as well roll over and accept our fate.
ReplyDeleteDid D Milliband have any part in devising and introducing PFI?
Oh, these things all go back to the Downing Street Policy Unit that he headed, a cipher for those ideas of the potty Think Tank Boys which it, and he, did not in fact originate.
