Ed Balls Out?
If not, why not? And I don't just mean the loss of his seat. If the lowliest local activist advocated voting for a non-Labour candidate against a Labour one at so much as a Parish Council election, then he would be expelled. He really would be. So why hasn't Balls been? After all, even if he does keep his seat, he now stands absolutely no chance of winning the Labour Leadership. "Why don't you try for Leader of the Lib Dems instead?" will be one of the very politest things said to him when he goes in search of so much as nominations.
