Here:
"Muslims, for example, cannot adopt children; Maronite Christians cannot get divorced, and it is impossible for members of different sects to marry each other, while civil marriage is not an option here."
There is certainly adoption under Islamic law. If you get married in a Maronite church, which is a Catholic church, then you know the rules. The next bit is an outright lie, at least so far as Catholics and Orthodox are concerned. And the last bit is beside the point. Admit it, Auntie, you are making this up.
But in whose interests? Who wants to abolish the entrenched protections of Lebanese Christians and others, and why do they want that abolition? No wonder that they are being cheered on by the same Western elements that cheered or cheer on Izetbegovic, the KLA, the Chechen separatists, Jundullah, the genocide of Christian Iraq, and the bombardment of Lebanon by those who impose martial law on Bethlehem, demolish Jerusalem in order to build on top of it, and reduce the inhabitants of Nazareth to fourth, fifth or sixth-class citizenship.
