The story is now what the real story has always been: the media campaign against the Pope.
Note the total lack of Police interest, anywhere in the world, in this "Church conspiracy". All we have are the jackals, vultures and hyenas of the litigation industry, preparing to take their hefty chunks out of the payouts to professional criminals whose evidence would be laughed out in any other context, but whose villainy is considered conclusive proof of their claims in this one.
"Abuse", you must remember, is something that only Catholic priests, or religious figures in general, ever do. Under any other circumstance, exactly the same behaviour, sex between men and teenage boys, is called "intergenerational sex", or "man-boy love", or whatever. Just ask the main players on the dark side of this real story, beginning with the oldest continuous organ of No Popery in the world, the voice of liberal-fascist New York, the tediously ex-Catholic ruling faction in the Irish Republic, Peter Tatchell, and the BBC.
Social workers never take children into care presumably.
ReplyDeleteIf they disapprove of sex between men and teenage boys, which is what we are discussing here, then they have only very recently started to do so.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time as the Church was hushing up such behaviour on the part of a small number of priests, and thus, however imperfectly, indicating disapproval of it, it was absolutely endemic in institutions run by social services, and major figures in that world were publishing academic studies, used for many years in the training of social workers, which presented it as positively beneficial to both parties and therefore actively to be encouraged. As it certainly was.
