Hearing a sizeable chunk cheer the suggestion of George Osborne as Chancellor, I began to think that there might be something in a claim that has been made to me repeatedly in recent weeks: much of the Any Questions audience is now made up of the same people every week, provided by CCHQ in collusion with the Blairite Broadcasting Corporation, and there to cheer for the Heirs to Blair as much against soi-disant Thatcherites or against traditional Tories as against anyone else.
