Beyond Our Ken?
Livingstone is in again. Will he re-use the line "As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted"? London is run as a central government colony such as would not be tolerated anywhere else. There are more quango members in London than there are Borough Councillors, Assembly Members and the Mayor put together. So it is not much of a job. But if he returns to it in 2012, then he will have it into his seventies. In which case, he will probably die in it. And it looks as if he will return to it. From 2012, Ken won't just be Mayor of London. He will be Mayor for Life.
