Unexpected?

Fun and games that Obama is using the money unexpectedly left over from the bailout to fund social programmes rather than on tax cuts for the thoroughly unconservative people whose bankrolling of the remnant Republican Party purportedly made them deserving of the bailout itself. Did I miss something, or did Obama run, and was he elected, as a Democrat, beating a Clinton in the process of defining a Democrat for that purpose? Clearly, he intends to govern as a Democrat thus defined.
