Would An Election Be Good For The Tories?
Not while the defining image is either Douglas Hogg’s moat or the duck island of Sir Peter Viggers, no.
Nor should it be in terms of policy. Or, rather, the lack of any such. But we are not allowed to talk about that.
Opposition leaders always call for a General Election. Its a matter of routine. Duck Island? I missed that one but Viggers is a nasty piece of work, who thankfully never got beyond the NIO where his main skill ws irritating local civil servants. Never a smart move. However the abiding image of Little Miss Sunshine Blears is just as strong.
