That's Why It's Called The Third Party

A third of its Conference can vote against the platform. You can't imagine that from either of the other two. In fact, you can hardly imagine a vote at all at either of the other two Party Conferences these days. They have become as Parliament has become during the same period.

  1. How much internal dissent is there in the BPA?

  2. Why do you think it took so long to get the website up and running...?

But we are not precious prettyboys who have never been disagreed with in our lives. We can cope.

  3. Oh, I assumed it was just that you weren't very confident with designing websites.

  4. I'm not.

But I didn't do the designing.

And let me assure that that was the *least* of our worries.

I should emphasise that it was all about what to leave out. We all knew what needed to be put in.

  5. You should have left more out. It all looks very cluttered.

  6. Actually, David, I really admire your party's impeccable discipline. While other parties have dissident members criticising the leadership, and even resigning, the British People's Alliance speaks consistently with one voice. You are the only person I've ever seen saying anything in public about the party and its platform. It's admirable, and the other parties could take a lesson from you in how to ensure that nobody goes "off-message".

  7. That's what politics was like, back when it was serious.

Bryan, we spent too long on it to blow it now.

  8. So as we're in party conference season, when can we expect the BPA Conference? Where will it be? and who will be there?

  9. Not this year, obviously. But which this space. The Constitution requires that we have them from time to time. And anyway, a comment on a previous thread has got me thinking...
