Oh, They Don't Like To Be Beside The Seaside
Fair play to the Lib Dems for still holding their Conference in a seaside town. But it won't last. Like the other two, they are now run by people whose only knowledge of Britain outside London is the studenty bits of Oxford or Cambridge. They can find their way to Manchester or Birmingham if they absolutely have to (although don't expect that to last too much longer, either). But Bournemouth, or Blackpool, or Brighton? Forget it.
The great thing about a seaside town is that if you can't afford the conference hotel and you are staying in a B&B on the seafront which you have to find late at night & the worse for wear there are only 2 directions to choose.
