The Pope And The Prime Minister
Of course the Pope is getting more coverage in America than Brown is. So he should. Being on the telly is not what Brown is over there for, or at the very least it shouldn't be. We had quite enough of that under Blair, who followed the Bill Clinton line on this: be on the screens a lot while doing nothing much at home and actively blowing various other parts of the world to smithereens. If Brown is on television, then, nine times out of ten, why isn't he attending to another task instead? Being Prime Minister is not a branch of show business.
