No Kidding
Four times on Newsnight, Yvette Cooper referred to “families with kids”. I can’t see what goats have to do with it.
This person purports to be the Chief Secretary to the Treasury.
You changed the post. And not a word of apology, and not a word of acknowledgement. Well, the full text of your post is still there on all the blogs that spotted it. You can't get away with it that easily.
Just explain, and apologise. Don't cover it up. It's too late for that. It's out there.
Well, you and the numerous other commenters from Zimbabwe who have been all over this thread have lost me, I'm afraid. The blogosphere is a strange place and I have my enemies on it.
Still, I do have an actual post about Zimbabwe today:
You have changed the post. But I thought it was funny. You are right: the idiot imperialist Brown is evil, and Mugabe is good. Only Mugabe can save Zimbabwe. Do not believe the imperialist lies! Do not believe the wails of Tsvangirai and his cronies! We will find the MDC bloggers, make no mistake.
Aren't all references to Mugabe offensive, hararevoice?
These posts of yours David are among the most interesting things that I have read about Zimbabwe. No wonder certain people are out to get you. God save the African Queen indeed.
Well, I think we've identified the problem, haven't we, Mugabist?
Now, does anyone have any comments about Yvette Cooper's lazy reference to children as "kids"?
I won't be putting up anything else about Zimbabwe on this thread. Feel free to comment about it on the other threads listed above. What a bizarre day this has turned out to be.
Still, it's nice to be the target of some weird viral operation on the part of the Mugabist and his ghastly ilk. I have always been very proud of my enemies, and never more so than today.
I think that Cabinet Ministers should not speak like this, although we all know that the Tories would be no better. They actually affect lazy speech, which is even worse.
And sorry, one last thing, do you think that Mugabist and that crowd are worried that the monarchy idea might catch on? I think that they are.
Listen closely to her accent. When she gets flustered she forgets to be regional. I can't quite make out what her regional accent is meant to be, but it seems to have little to do with either Scotland, where she was born, or Hampshire, where she was raised.
She's an Oxford graduate raised in Hampshire who became a London journalist and now lives in Stoke Newington. Just because she represents a Yorkshire seat, she seems to have decided to audition for Last of the Summer Wine. Trouble is, she forgot halfway through and returned to London. Ridiculous.
Where has my comment gone. Will you apologise?
ReplyDeleteJust came here from the XKJB blog. I think they are over-reacting. It's just a bad joke. Miscalculated, but I'm sure you didn't mean any offence.
ReplyDeleteFor what? Cooper really did say this. Not what one expects from a Cabinet Minister. Not at all.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand. What is the XKJB blog.

Cry The Benighted Country said you made an offensive Mugabe comparison here, but I can't see it. What's the fuss about?

Eh? What has Zimbabwe got to do with this post? You don't mention Zimbabwe at all. I am so confused.
ReplyDeleteNot as confused as I was, Brian.

I agree with you on both points.
