One of the biggest scandals in Britain today is the organised government kidnap of working-class infants in order to place them with middle-class couples on the orders of the family courts, which sit in secret and exclude the media. But now,
someone is doing something about it.
I have lived my whole life in a working-class community near to your own (very middle-class) home, and I never thought I'd see the day when someone who dresses and talks like you was our last hope. However that day has come.
ReplyDeleteLiving in a community like mine is now very similar to living in a colony or under occupation. That is New Labour's New Britain from the point of view of the working class. We are just the kaffirs to New Labour and their hired help.
What concrete plans do you have to increase working-class participation in politics?
You could be describing the attitude of David's extremely New Labour main critic: the working class are just kaffirs. This person wants to succeed Hilary Armstrong, but will probably be deemed too local by New Labour and passed over for someone even more like that from inside the Westminster machine.
ReplyDeleteWhereas David is like his own late father, a fighter for the people of the colony where he worked, and then an educated, well-connected, energetic middle-class fighter for the working class when he came home. Just the sort of MP that we need.
