Identity
It is physically painful to agree with the Lib Dems, never mind praise them. But they were right about the Iraq War, and now they have found a cause about which they are equally right, and which might yet prove equally effective for them at the ballot box: total opposition to identity cards. Every detail of our medical and financial lives is to be sold to the contractor, itself probably foreign-owned and certainly possessed of vast commercial interests of its own, as well as doubtless being a substantial donor both to Labour and to the Tories. Just Say No. The Tories won’t. This was their idea in the first place.
