Defeated
Of course we have been defeated in Iraq! And so have the Americans.
Of course we should get out of Iraq! And so should the Americans.

There is a strange American refusal to admit to ever having lost a war (in fact, America has lost several, as has everybody else), and this also seems to be infecting Britain.
Iraq and Afghanistan are lost wars, hardly the first in either country's case. We should get out, and learn our lessons.
This reads, like so many of your posts, as if you are arguing against an unseen enemy. Who is it? Is it someone on the radio? Are they reading this?
