On Jeremy Vine this afternoon, neoconservatism was repeatedly condemned, and the peaceful resolution of the Iranian crisis held up as a triumph, by the Labour MP for Rotherham, and former Europe Minister, Denis MacShane. But MacShane is a signatory both to The Henry Jackson Society and to the Euston Manifesto.
So, is it all over for the neocons? Has Iran been the fatal moment in their foreign policy that their complete inability to deal with Hurricane Katrina was in their American domestic policy? Will MacShane be withdrawing his signature from The Henry Jackson Society and from the Euston Manifesto? Will anyone else reading this (you know who you are)? And if not, why not?
